As promised last month, a few more pictures for December! With daylights hours at a premium the renovations carried on at a more leisurely pace, with the aim to pick this up to a gallop come the spring…
First, the garden. Here we have been planting our new fruit trees (wedding presents thanks to Ali & James, Sophie & Sam and Maggie & Alan), digging over the back corner so we can plant out our strawberries and fruit bushes and clearing out the potting shed ahead of its rebuild.
Continuing in the garden, here are some snaps of the glasshouse, the veg patch and the ongoing battle against the moles – yes that wheelbarrow is less than 1 week of molehills!
Second, progress on building the ha ha and wall on the back patio continued, with tonnes of stone finding a very worthwhile new home (spot the weeded alpine garden thanks to Mum).
Third, yet more work from Mike on the new beams in the main house. Despite being ten degrees outside it was sub zero inside, hence the ghostly 1st image!
